Welcome to St. James’ – We invite you to look around our Website and learn more about our church. If you’re not currently a member of St. James’ – we’d like to take this opportunity to invite you to join us at our regular weekly service at 10 a.m. Sunday mornings.

Who We Are

St. James’ Episcopal Church is a small, progressively minded congregation intent on being a welcoming and safe space for all. We are young and old, male and female, gay and straight, single, married, divorced and widowed, CEO and unemployed, student and teacher, rich and poor. We worship together, study and ask questions as we move more deeply into the mystery of God.

Our Sunday Services

As of June 2021, we are offering in-person Holy Communion services every Sunday while still streaming the services via Zoom for those unable to attend. If you would like to join us, please send an email to stjamesoldtown@gmail.com for information on connecting.

Our Outreach Programs

St. James has an extensive and year-round outreach program. Some of the activities include a free community lunch every 3rd Saturday, a fill the Back Pack Program for children’s food insecurities at the local school, Days of Warmth to help the Penobscot Nation Emergency Fuel Fund, a Mother’s Day Shower to collect baby items, a school supplies collection for children going back to school, a Thanksgiving drive to provide meals, and a Christmas food drive.
